David Peters grew up in Toledo, OH and began playing poker during his junior year of high school. His spark for poker began while watching poker on TV after which he started organizing home games with friends as well as playing freerolls online, hoping to get a bankroll going. At this very early stage he decided to take poker seriously in order to improve his game as fast as possible. He never looked back again after he won one of the tournaments for just over $600. He still remembers, that for that time, those $600 were a huge win and gave him the right push and motivation to keep playing.
Constantly studying and working on his game, he quickly knew this was something he wanted to pursue seriously. Cash games and SNG’s were where he built up his bankroll at first, but when he started to put his focus into MTT’s, things really took off. To this day he has over $2,200,000 million in live tournament winnings as well as millions from online tournaments.
