Josh Brikis is a professional poker player from Pittsburgh, PA with over $1,500,000 in career earnings. He is one of the few professional poker players who hold a business degree. He graduated in 2003 from Penn State University.
Before focusing on a pro career as a poker player, Josh worked in a bank near Atlantic City. With just a ferry ride away from his workplace to the glimmer of the casinos, it was only a matter of time until Josh unleashed his talent for the cards. However, initially he started playing poker with co-workers and friends.
Although Josh’s first live tournament cash was reported in 2006, things really started kicking off in 2009 during which time he made $756,106 from live tournaments alone, including a 2nd place finish for $619k in the 2009 WSOP $5,000 No Limit Hold’em Six Handed Event, which was his largest score so far. He has reached a final table at the WSOP in 3 of the last 4 years and in 2010 he came 24th in the WSOP 2012 Number of Cashes list.
