Aaron Jones's Biography

Hailing from Indiana, Aaron Jones started playing poker in high school. At first, his game of choice was $5 tournaments but as time progressed he discovered that cash games were much more profitable. He then began to put in more time and study into poker and by his senior year of high school he had posted his first $10k month at the tables.

When he first started playing, Aaron admitted to having a bit of a problem with both bankroll management and tilting, but has since been able to conquer both. Now, Aaron regularly plays high stakes cash games online and has an impressive $1.6 Million in career earnings.

Aaron’s focus is not just limited to the online poker world as he has found moderate success in the live arena as well. His first live score happened to also be his first six-figure score of his live poker career. He bubbled the final table of the WPT Main Event of Festa al Lago at the Bellagio in Las Vegas back in 2009 taking home $129,210.

In 2010, he would finish 3rd in the $10k Heads-Up Championship at Legends of Poker in Los Angeles. Since that time he has posted numerous solid live finishes, including nine World Series of Poker cashes. So far he has over $440k in live earnings.

Off the felt, Aaron is best known for his entertaining training videos over at Leggopoker.com. He’s brought that same energy to Ivey League and was an integral part of the creative process during the site’s development.
