Team Ivey Introduces Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler As Its Newest Pro
March 18, 2013, Las Vegas, NV - Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler is one of the most peculiar yet also most experienced poker players of this day and age, considering that he has just shy of 30 WSOP cashes to his name, not to mention over $2.6m in total live earnings. Before starting to play poker, Kessler made the accomplishment of obtaining a double degree in marketing and management, which led him to almost a decade-long career as a marketing researcher.
Kessler started playing cash games in college, but it came to a point where his earnings were piling up to such a large amount that not becoming a poker pro would have seemed an unwise decision. Making the choice to turn pro was certainly not a bad one, considering that in the past 12 years Kessler has over 180 live cashes to his name, 70 of which were final table finishes, and 14 of those which were first place titles.
The “Chainsaw” is by no means a player to be taken lightly, and one can only have mercy for any poker players who find themselves in the unfortunate spot of being his opponent.
