As of January 2013, American poker player Dan Smith ranks in first place on the GPI list. Being a superstar in the poker world, Smith made five final tables and won four titles in the first five months of 2012 in a range of major tournaments. He sealed 1st place in the HPT Verona and bagged a solid $101,960 in the $1,500 Main Event. In 2012, Dan topped the tough 22-player field in the $100,000 Aussie Millions Challenge and pocketed a whopping $1,041,828 as a first place prize. Smith is definitely a player to watch out for!
Andrew “luckychewy” Lichtenberger has built a reputation in short-handed tournaments and currently ranks 5th in the GPI. He is also very well known for the way in which he absolutely destroys heads-up cash games online. In 2012 Andrew Lichtenberger sealed a 5th place in the $10,000 WPT Five Diamond World Poker and scooped a nice score of $234,197. Lichtenberger is an aggressive and a fearless poker player who can turn all odds against his opponents!
